Beiersdorf AG (BEI.xetr) is a multinational company manufacturing and retailing personal-care products and pressure-sensitive adhesives headquartered in Hamburg, Germany. Beiersdorf is divided into two segments: the consumer business segment concentrating on the international skin and body care markets and the tesa business segment providing self-adhesive product solutions for industrial customers and consumers. Beiersdorf’s brands include Nivea, Labello, La Prairie, Elastoplast, Eucerin, Tesa SE and Coppertone. Beiersdorf is also the owner of other brands like 8x4, Hansaplast and Florena. The company has more than 160 affiliates globally and employs more than 20,600 people. Beiersdorf AG stock is listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, had a market capitalisation of €20.60B (EUR) and €7.65B (EUR) in 2019 yearly revenues. Beiersdorf AG entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Chantecaille Beaute Inc, USA, with a value between $590M (USD) and $690M (USD). The company will continue to be managed separately as a complementary selective brand in the Beiersdorf Group next to La Prairie, and the completion of the transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2022.
